Arghhh …. I have been attacked by mozzies. The weird thing is that they are only targeting my leg with the injured knee. Acupuncture is supposedly good for blood circulation & balancing the “chi” … does that make mozzies more attracted to my leg? I have 7 itchy bumps now. I never like scratching them…dont want any scars… I am relying on my aloe vera gel & Mopiko cream to soothe the discomfort. I am having a fever too….. what a day.
I have to stop wearing skirts for a while. Dont wanna expose those nasty bite marks. The good thing is that I dont get nasty scars after they heal…the brown marks usually vanish after a while.
I do not have much mozzies around my house or you can say they dont often exist . That’s because I disinfect my house regularly. There is an upgrading project going on around my area that explains the increase in mozzies’ activities. I cant complain but they are just trying to make my estate nicer.
Mozzies simply love me… whenever I go out to any places and there are mozzies lurking around…they tend to attack me more even if I am with a group of people. That’s why I bought a portable electronic mosquito repellent and carry it with me when I go to places where mozzies love…. beach, park ….. the portable device emits males mozzies & dragonfly sounds to repel females mozzies… (Only female mozzies bite … that’s because they need the protein in our blood to produce fertile eggs)
There was once I was nearly bitten by an aedes mosquito that carries dengue.. luckily… I manage to shoo it away..didnt feel like killing it ..though it’s dangerous… My poor boss was bitten instead & he had to be hospitalized…
I have a plug-in electronic repellent home too .. It emits soundwaves to repel mozzies. Usually I only switch on my plug-in and it’s enough to prevent mozzies…
I burn Citronella essential oil once in a while … but for now.. I am gonna burn more regularly. I also have mosquito coils and those electric vapor mats. Oh ya.. I have those repellent spray too.
Mosquitoes are attracted to:
1) Scent .. Things that remind them of nectar.
( I am using a lavendar shower gel, rose hand cream… hmm…)
2) Body Heat … Active & energetic people generates more body heat.
3) Energy radiated by humans. Emotions etc. The more irritated you are the more you’re bitten.
4) Mostly dark colored clothings… but they love BLUE too.
(My room wall’s are painted baby blue , maybe it’s time to change a color)
Can you please Leave Me ALONE?
Stop picking on me Ms Mozzie!
SOLUTION: Maybe I should get some Yummy Guys in my room so Ms Mozzie can set her eyes on them instead! Any volunteers?
Red Mosquito Lyrics (Pearl Jam)
Watched from the window, with a red mosquito
I was not allowed to leave the room
I saw the sun go down, and now it’s coming up
somewhere in the time between
I was bitten, must have been the devil
he was just paying me…
a little visit, reminding me of his presence
letting me know, he’s a-waiting… oh
red man’s your neighbor, call it behavīor
while you’re climbing up slippery hills
two steps ahead of him, punctures in your neck
hovering just above your bed
hovering just above your bed
I was bitten, must have been the devil
he was just paying me…
a little visit, reminding me of his presence
and letting me know, he’s a’waiting, he’s a’waiting…
up there… yeah
if i had known then what i know now…
if i had known then what i know now…
if i had known then what i know now…
if i had known then what i know now…
Mosquito Song (By Queens of the Stone Age)
I know, I know the sun is hot
Mosquitoes come and suck your blood
Leave you there all alone
Just skin and bone
When you walk among the trees
Listening to the leaves
The further I go the less I know
The less I know Where will you run?
Where will you hide?
Lullabies
To paralyze
Fat and soft, pink and weak
Foot and thigh, tongue and cheek
You know I’m told they swallow you whole
Skin and bone
Cutting boards and hanging hooks
Bloody knives, cooking books
Promising you won’t feel a thing
At all
Swallow and chew
Eat you alive
All of us food that hasn’t died
And the light says
Simmering, pick and pluck
Tenderize, bone to dust
The sweetest grease, finest meat you’ll ever taste
Taste, taste
So you scream, whine, and yell
Supple sounds of dinner bell
We all will feed the worms and trees So don’t be shy
Swallow and chew
Eat you alive
All of us food that hasn’t died
