All about Needles

Not long ago, I injured my knee. It was painful but I ignored it. What a bad decision. I have tingling pain now & then … It is bearable but rather umcomfy. :?

I decided to try traditional chinese medicine/practice (中醫) . Today I went to a chinese physician to get my knee fixed. I tried acupuncture (針灸). It was my 1st time. I was talking to the physician & I didnt even know he had placed the needles in. He was asking me, are you not afraid of pain? I was like No… have you inserted the needles….? He already did that like 5 minutes ago. He started twirling the needle & pushing it deeper to stimulate the “electric current” …. there was a tingling numb feeling. Not much pain…

I am never afriad of needles & injections.. infact when I had to take injections during school days, I always volunteer to go first

I am really silly. I wore a skirt there… I didnt know he had to use naprapathy ( 推拿) on me.. not the usual type.. instead I needed to lift my legs and bent. Luckily there was a towel for me to cover up…..  The physician massaged my leg…… whole leg…. argh……

Here are some pictures, as I was lying down, I did not manage to capture clear shots.

My feet were a little swollen from the “massage” (推拿)

The lamp was used to provide heat to “soothe” the legs

After the treatment, I went for some yummy food.

It does not look appetizing but believe me, it taste very good… It consist of cockles, rice vermicelli, cuttlefish, Kang Kong (Ipomoea Aquatica) (空心菜) & chilli peanut sauce etc.

Well, my legs are feeling a little numb after the treatment. Let see if it works. I am kind of addicted to the sensation. Maybe next time I sahll try Accupuncture Slimming.
