Flavored Rice with Condiments
It takes hours to prepare this rice. You gotta slow cooked the rice with all the condiments & diced the ingredients etc.
In Cantonese it’s called 有味飯 & for today, I’ve made 臘味飯. It’s a popular flavored rice dish. It consists of different types of Chinese sausages (臘腸), “Waxed” Duck & meat (臘鴨,臘肉) & dried scallops (乾貝).
“Waxed” Duck etc are actually marinated & processed meat that are baked till they are dried. In the olden days, they are usually dried in the sun but it’s very unhygenic.
